It was cold, WINDY and there were tears....but at the end of the day when asked what her favorite thing we did today was...she said" picking up Easter eggs and the candy." It made it ALL worth it. So a bunch of our friends kiddos including Carson, Julia, Jackson and and Lily were all going to to see the Easter Bunny and for the Easter Egg Hunt at Palmer Park, hosted by the Skipback Lions Club. It wasn't quite the same memories that I have as a kid doing Easter Egg Hunts but maybe that's becuase Pop-pop was a Lion and had an in where we did our egg hunt. This morning was SO windy and freezing, that I didn't even know if they would have it, but sure enough we waited for what seemed like forever for something that lasted for like 2 min if that. Even though she HATED the wind, Abigail really enjoyed picking up the eggs!! When it was finally time to pick up the eggs she forgot all about the wind and went on her way. After finding one egg I think she thought she was done and started to head back to Guy. I then came in to let her know she could keep getting more and help her finish picking up as many as we could find that were left. I think our total equaled three eggs.
